Found a Place for CS

For all my readers who are unaware of CS , I should clarify that CS stands for counter strike. I have already said that we love to play CS in the bus(in "bliss in bus").

In the first semester we did manage to play CS in the bus, but as the number of players increased we thought of having a place where we could play for free. But playing free wasn't possible in the gaming cafe, so we searched a place for playing the game using our laptops. That was possible because we all had laptops with us. Again merely having a laptop didn't solve the problem, because we needed a place to break free with our game. So we discussed with each other what we could do, because bus was not the ultimate solution!! In the discussion we pondered about the availability of space in each others house. At the end Puneet (Fondly called as Punto) came with a great idea of offering a place to play in his house. It was his study room. The room was enough for us to play, and the balcony with it was bonus. In the 2nd semester we started playing CS in Puneet's house. We started off with just five PLAYERS, which later on increased to ELEVEN, but we still managed to squeeze in. We don't play in Puneet's house anymore, but we can never forget about the initial platform of our game. On behalf of all the members of CS group, I thank Puneet for giving us the platform and being a member of our CS team. At present our CS group shares the good times and hard times of each member and celebrates the occasions of each one in grand manner.  I would also like to thank the creators of CS for giving another reason to hang out together.

Love In B.tech

Hi guys.. I'm back with my posts. Today I'm going to post the most important event of every B.tech students' life, that is love.

How can one imagine a life in B.tech without love or affection ? It was the mid of the 2nd semester when all my friends were involved in searching of their love life. Some of them were successful and other were still searching for better one. I don't know whether love is better or bitter but I know a span of the life involved in love is better. Again that span of life is better for those who are involved in that event and not for their friends. Fortunately or unfortunately I'm not involved in such life. I was little bit confused about my love at that time but gradually I understood that love in B.tech was not a part of my business. I saw most of love duos in front of my eyes and I felt jealous of them and was cursing GOD for not making a love partner for me, but as the year passed I thank GOD for the same reason. I thank GOD,because I saw a lot of harassment in the love life of others and I think I could not afford that much in my personal life. I saw a lot of misunderstanding between duos and also some of my friends were deeply hurt by their loved ones but find better to live in love. I had also seen many of them broke up and paired with others. I don't think those were the true love, in my definition true love is that where one feels the words of his/her loved one's heart without uttering it through mouth, true love is that in which one can live happily with only some good memories of his/her love, true love is that in which one can  easily sacrifice everything for his/her love and true love is that where there is no confusion lies in between the duos. So, those are my thoughts and I don't know whether I have came across this type of love or I'll ever come across. But for the time being I'm happy with making love duos(helping my friends for getting their love) and still searching for a perfect love for my life. Hope I'll get what I'm searching for and also in a better(not bitter) way..

Here I'm signing off from today's post..Thank you very much..

The Vintage 800

It was 1.30 pm when me and my friend Venkatesh took an auto and headed for Tuhinansu's house. Subhrajyoti (another buddy) was supposed to join us at a place called Kolathia, which is about 1.5 kms from Tuhinansu's house. It is supposed to be monsoon, but the sun had something else to prove. So Mr. Tuhinansu called up and briefed us with the plan. He told that he would pick all the three of us from Kolathia in his car(He is high on excitement as because these are his early driving days). So needless to say what super excitement can do. Mr. Tuhinansu happened to put the keys of house in his wallet and he very cutely forgot the wallet in his room and locked the door. We three assembled at the check point, as told by Tuhinansu, waiting for him. Just as i was buying Appy Fizz, he parked the car near the shop and with a huge smile said "jump in". I was amazed by two things. Firstly he was in his shorts and without any footwear and secondly he dared to keep the engine on for a good 6 minutes. Dared because there was a fuel hike the very previous day!!
We went to his home and he served us with the excellent news of keys inside home. The only remedy was to wait for aunty to come back. Seeing an opportunity, he said lets go for a ride. That is when i realized i too had an opportunity to get my hands on this vintage model. But he said he would let me drive on the way back. That was good enough for me. I don't remember when was the last time i had a ride in Maruti 800. So while we were all enjoying the peace in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, I had only one thing on my mind. When do we get back and when do i get to drive this car...After some 5 odd kilometers he took a U turn and i knew it was my TIME..
He kept his word and brought the car to a halt(again the engine was on while we switched the positions!!!!). There it was in front of me, a car i had been longing to drive. I must agree it was so very different than than the Hyundai i10 that i usually drive or the Maruti Ritz that drove few times, but still it was very very comfortable. All the one and half years of my driving experience went into drains when i could not take the car off in the very first attempt. But the second time i did(though i had forgot to put the hand brakes down the first time). It did take me more than a few seconds to put the car into second gear(it was difficult to actually locate it!!), but once i did it was delightful. I drove all the way back to his home and enjoyed every single bit of it. It was all so peaceful and relaxing. I will never forget those 5 kms in my entire life and the Vintage named Maruti 800...

Thanks Tuhinansu for letting me drive, thanks Venkatesh and Subhrajyoti for making it more momorable....

My First Semester

Till now I wrote about all my enjoyments in my B.tech 1st year. Now it should be about my 1st important exam in b.tech. Yes I am saying about 1st semester.

After all my enjoyments in the first half year, the real big deal came. We all had heard a lot about the semesters from our seniors and they said it's a very serious issue, they also added that securing 7.5 sgpa in a semester was a big deal. So to crack this big fish we had studied hard. It was meant a lot for us because it was our first b.tech exam. I studied with one of my friend, he solved some of my problems and i solved some of his. I think most of the first year b.tech students do that. We got a week as study leave, so that we could concentrate for the tycoon(semester). After a deep study for a week we prepared ourselves for the psychometric test. It was a long week for us. We came prepared for the examination. I was bit nervous to secure at least a 7.5 sgpa in that semester. Then came the 3hrs immense pressure time where we had to gather all that we had done in the past week and to write the necessary from it on the paper. After finishing first paper when I came out from the exam hall I lost myself in an environment where most of the students were discussing about what they had done in the examination. Hearing them I lost some of my confidence about what had I done in the exam. Similarly all other paper also finished one by one and I pray to the GOD for a 7.5. We got a summer holiday after our semester for a month or so. The result declared at the middle of our second semester at the very time when we all are enjoying in the bus. One of my friend heard from his parents that he got 7.xx and thus a fear of result was induced in our heart. We all move to our nests silently and check our scores, fortunately mine was 8.5. We all got a bad habit of calling all the friends and asking them their scores at that very moment and I love this habit. The discussion about the score was stopped at 11 in night with a simple message "good night see you tomorrow". That tomorrow came and the discussion went on. On that very day I came to know that I was among the first two in our college, and thus my confidence also went higher.

With this happiness I, Tuhinansu Pradhan signing off for today's post. Thank you.....

Bliss In Bus

Hello friends..I've shared a few experiences of my engineering life earlier. As promised now i'll be sharing with you one of the most beautiful phases of my B.Tech career. When i was new to the college and B.Tech environment, specially in the first year, we had the most incredible time one could imagine on a bus. There was even a time when the sole criteria for going to college was to be able to spend time with my friends in the bus. The deal was that the entire bus journey starting from my friend's house to college and the return trip was exactly 92 kilometers. So we had to make something out of it else it would be really very hard to spend at least two hours a day having nothing more to do that just listen to music on phone. we had a semi luxury bus. I say semi because even though the interiors and condition of bus was in excellent condition still it was an old bus. The fact that the seats of the bus could be pushed back made it even better. That way, me and my friends could all sit close and have enormous fun chatting with each other, teasing each other. If we were going to college, that energized us or if we were returning, it removed the tiredness. That was also the time we all were supplied by laptops from our college (Of course we had to pay for it..). We were slowly getting to know thing like LAN and the usage. So we utilized them to the fullest. We would create peer to peer servers and play in the bus. There were two games that we played like anything at that time. The first being the very famous and successful Counter - Strike and the other being TracMania Nations. We were crazy for these games, and when you play on LAN the fun part goes up few notches. Another amazing thing was the man who took us and brought us back. Driver would be a very bad word to use as he turned out to an absolute gem. He became a friend to everyone in no time. he was some 7 years elder to us and was bachelor, hence we connected to him very quickly. If ever we got bored he would sure entertain us. Either by his lovely driving skills or by his mere dialect. That is what Munna Bhai, our "driver" meant to us. A charming firend to say the least. I can never forget that day when we wanted him to do something very demanding. We were in a 8 year old bus which meant the engine was old too, but we wanted him to overtake a brand new VOLVO that we saw on road. As always he just gave us a smile, but things did not reflect the same. We saw the VOLVO running away from our bus. Munna Bhai knew he could not take on the beast with power, so he used the ultimate power, his brains. He made it sure he was close to the bus and on the slightest of chance, with the help of his wit, he actually overtook the VOLVO. We literally jumped on the seats. We were just spellbound by his driving skills. It took few days to get out of the hangover.

These are couple of experiences and the fun that we had. I hope you all liked it. If you did you can simply add a comment and let me know. I'll be back with few more similar experiences. Thank you all for now....

Making New Friends

On the very next day I was ready for the college bus by 8 in the morning and waiting at the bus-stop. When the bus arrived a boy of my age opened the door, I never knew that he would be one of  my best friend and he was helping the driver only. On that day after finishing college at 5 p.m. we rush to the bus and in the bus he came to me and gave his hand for friendship. So that's how I have my first friend in the college named Jagannath. For the first few weeks I  had known to be last bencher, but after a month or so I always sit on the front. I was scared in this corporate related environment for some period. Again in a few days I made a lot of friend in our bus and we enjoyed a lot. In our friend circle the leading members were Jagannath, Aarohan, Subhrajyoti, Puneet and of course me and we all are from different trades(except me and Aarohan). Now our friend circle has increased and became a huge one. I was not known much by the students of my section(in the 1st year we were not divided into respective trades) rather I was well-known among my friends. In this way first month was completed and time came for first internal. By the way we had finished 24 lab classes and  72 theory classes in the 1st month. We all were very serious on that first month about our study and even some of us took a leave the day before the 1st intern started and that includes me. Somehow the internal ended up in three days and we were waiting for the result. The day when the physics intern result was out everyone searched for the student who scored 95 out of 100(our internal are of 100 marks), and unfortunately that was me. From that day on-wards everyone used to ask me "how much u read ?", "when u read?" etc and that's how all of them came to know about me, until then I was only known among my small friend circle.

In the next post I'll share the most interesting time that we spend in the college bus. I hope you like my post.
Thank you....

Starting of B.tech career

Oh.. ya hi to all. Actually my starting day in the engineering college was not so dashing so I was just thinking what should I tell.

It was 1st September 2008 when I began my B.tech career. The day when all sorts of promises made by our college executives(don't remember how much they kept though). I reached there 1hr late, as per the time given, with my parents(by the way I want to say that I'm not the punctual one) .1hr late means its 10 in the morning i entered in the premise of our college. I am lucky or unlucky I don't know but the meeting started at 11a.m. It was just the usual promises like we will do this, that, everything. That was a very long day for me. After the meeting ended up our classes started. If I can remember correctly my first class was of a renowned professor and the subject was  Basic Electronics. And truly speaking I couldn't understand a bit on that day. One class in our college is of 1hr and 40mins. It was not the end of my long day, then we have to do a lot of stuffs like registration for ISTE, books, laptop, etc. So we had to ask someone for help, and one of our faculty member dressed like peon and giving all instructions came into eyes, on the first look(till he introduced himself) I thought he was the peon and asked him with dare.By the time my parents left me there and moved to their respective jobs.Till 5 in the evening we all move here and there for registrations. The registration was completed at 5.30 in evening and we were hoping to go home and take rest. Then came the transport problem, on the first day no one know which bus should they take, however, that was sorted out within half an hour by the bus drivers. At 6 on the clock we were ready to go home and to take break from that long day. We all had a hell of books and a laptop with us on that day and move to home.

It was the very first day for our college as well as for us. After the very long day we have started our journey in the path on which we are now.

Hi Everyone

All of us must have heard something about B.tech life, some of us may also used to it. You may also wished to be a future Engineer. Then this is the best place for all of us.

Don't worry I will not bore my readers anyway. So what should I do ?? Hmm.....
Ya why not I should try to give you  the engineering stuffs for free. I can try that though, if you want any engineering stuffs u can request here and i will try my every possible to bring it to u.

I will also share some of  the moments of my four years life..
